I'm afraid it isn't that simple. 3D modeling masks can take hours of work spread over months of my free time, and I don't even have an image to work off of. As much as I'd like to try, I cannot right now.

Have you ever thought about making a texture for your masks, and print with Shapeways Sandstone?

The problem with sandstone is it isn't quite as strong or as flexible as, well, the Strong and Flexible plastic I usually use for masks. The material constraints are very different, and I'd have to thicken the walls of the mask to hopefully make the mask sturdy enough to withstand the printing process, let alone use. For this mask in particular, the clips would pose a problem as sandstone may not be able to take the stress they put on the part.

I hope that answers your question

I somehow got the mental image of one of those Po-Koro Quarry mask sculptures

You should try creating the light drained version of Eltanin

Hoo hoo hoo! I'd love to see a G2 version of Fay's Mektep. You did a great job here. I certainly hope it's compatible.

Maybe someday ;)

The mask is almost certainly compatible with G2 heads. I made the measurements myself, printed it once, found out where I messed up, and fixed it. :P

Good, good! Unfortunately my attempt at a mask with Tom didn't er, go so well in the fitting department. The rod was too thick.

Really? He went to all the trouble to make you a mask and didn't fix the rod?

I wouldn't put it in those words per se... but uh, yes. The problem is I'm not so hot on spending another 30 bucks just to get the proper version.

Right... because his masks are a little pricey...

Still, I can't believe he'd take your commission and not do it correctly.

I assumed he had the right measurements since he'd done work on Dan's mask early on and found a way to get it to fit. So when I found out my mask didn't fit- the both of us were surprised to say the least.

There was an alpha version of this mask he showed me that does clip on properly, the only problem was that the mask design was too small for toa scale mocs. So since he kept the positioning of the clips proper, it ought to work :)

I've been thinking, wouldn't it be cool to have "helmets" for these masks. like the eyestock would have the "backside" off a mask so that when the mask is on it will form a helmet :D :D :D

I thought the point of a mask as a general object is that it covers just the face, the Agori have helmets

I didn't mean to make a "point", I just suggested the idea for it's coolness factor ;)
