Surek Sketches

These are all concepts for my new self MOC, Surek. He's a Toa of Plasma who dislikes using his powers and has a mysterious past. He becomes the first Toa to join the Complete, a utilitarian oligarchy composed of several Toa who have gone through serious trials and believe their control can prevent it for others. When Surek sees they have been corrupted by the power, he rebels and leads a resistance against them.

I apologize for the terrible quality, but these are actual sketches from my school notes. Many of them are really small (another bad habit of mine) and look even worse with the pencil being rubbed around. Upper left is my first attempt at reinterpreting the Kanohi Iden he wears, and the lower right is my second, more successful attempt. Between the two on top is one of my earlier sketches using an older design concept. As time went on, I figured out better ways to design him and primarily focused on his Battle Shield. The upper right is the most recent sketch with a more current  design. Currently, Surek is still half-built, but I plan to finish him soon.
